Elephone is reportedly working on new Android smartphone called the P9000, which would be the World’s first smartphone powered by a Deca-Core processor, named the Mediatek Helios X20 MT6797. The Elephone P9000 is expected to launch in October later this year.
The smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM along with 800 MHz ARM Mali T800 GPU. The P9000 features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) display and has 32GB of internal memory which can be expandable up to 128GB with microSD card. On the cameras front, there will be a 20.7 MP rear facing camera and a 8 MP camera is fixed on the front for taking Selfies and other video calling.
Also the report reveals that the device includes a 3100 mAh battery at the back, but we have to see whether this small battery would be enough to power this powerful processor smartphone. It is expected that the deca-core device consumes less power when compared to other processer so it might be well enough for a whole day backup. The Elephone P9000 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box similar to various new flagship smartphones.
Coming to pricing of the handset, it will be available starting from US$ 499 which is quite reasonable when the above high-end specifications are considered.
