Sony Mobiles has stated rolling out Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for Sony Xperia E3 LTE smartphones. The update has been given the build number 18.5.C.0.19. It is available to various regions of the world including France, UK, Greece, Hong Kong, Italy, Philippines, Nordics, Australia and India. The Android 4.4.4 KitKat update is available only for D2203 model.
The Sony Xperia E3 was launched with Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box and now the device can be upgraded to Android 4.4.4, the latest KitKat version. However, there is no signs whether Sony will release any Android Lollipop update to E3 or not.
The Android 4.4.4 Kitkat update is available via OTA (over-the-air) with size of 990MB. The update boost the performance of the smartphone and also adds stability to overall system. In addition, we can also see minor changes in UI and brings support for Xperia Theme Creator.
The Sony Xperia E3 measures a 4.5-inch display with resolutions of 854 x 480 pixels and includes IPS panel technology. It is powered with 1.2GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex-A7 processor and is coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 OS with a bandage KitKat typical Sony Xperia interface. There is 2330mAh battery on the back to power the device.
