Micromax ‘s first Waterproof and dust proof Android Smartphone called Micromax Splash is on its way, may launch soon – Details
As we know there are many companies that make Smartphones in this world, but among them there are very few companies which came out with their waterproof flagship like Samsung and Sony. As we know Sony has launched its first waterproof Smartphone last year i.e., Sony Xperia Z. It also came up with other versions like Xperia Go and Xperia Z1. On the other hand Samsung came up with only one waterproof flagship i.e., Samsung Galaxy S4 Active.
Now Micromax, the Indian Handset manufacturer is working on its first waterproof and dust proof flagship called Micromax Splash, as reported by the @MMXNewscaster. Though it is not sure whether the company would actually come up with a waterproof Smartphone, but the leaked pictures of the Micromax Splash shows that the device is IP67 Certified. IP in IP67 certifications stands for Ingress Protection Rating or International Protection Rating, it classifies the rate of protection against water, dust etc. See more about IP67 Certification here.
Micromax Splash will be resistant to water up to 1 meter for about 30 minutes, and will also resist dust. Though the actual core specs of the Smartphone are not revealed yet, but the leaked images show it will sport a 5MP rear camera with single LED flash. The pics also reveal that it runs on unspecified version of Android Jelly Bean OS. If the Micromax launches its first waterproof handset with budget price then it will definitely be a huge success in the India Market.
