Huawei officially launched the Huawei Maimang 4 smartphone in China, which comes with similar specification and metal body design as the Huawei G8. The only difference between the Huawei G8 and its new variant is the Processor. The Huawei G8 includes the Snapdragon 615 chipset while the Maimang 4 comes with all new Snapdragon 616. Though the chipset differs in name, there is hardly any difference between the two.
To let you known, the Snapdragon 615 comes with 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocking at 1.7GHz and another 4 Cortex-A53 clocks at 1GHz. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 616 features four Cortex-A53 cores clocking the rate of 1.7GHz while the other four cores clock at 1.2GHz. The Snapdragon 616 has similar Adreno 405 GPU found on Snapdragon 616 but includes a Cat-4 LTE connectivity coupled with X5 LTE.
As we said, it is the new variant of Huawei G8, so all the other features remains the same including 5.5-inch FHD display, 2GB/3GB of RAM along with optional internal storage of 16GB/32GB, a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, a 5MP front camera, and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
The Huawei Maimang 4 has a fingerprint scanner located just below the rear camera and includes a 3,000 mAh battery on the back. Coming to pricing, the handset will cost 2,099 Yuan for 2GB variant and goes up to 2499 for the 3GB edition.
