YU on Thursday started rolling out Cyanogen OS 12 Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for the YU Yureka smartphone. The Lollipop update was submitted recently and got the very early approval. Earlier Cyanogen OS 12 update being rolled out to OnePlus One smartphone and now the same update has been arriving to YU Yureka.
The Cyanogen OS 12 adds two new apps to the device – the App Themer and Cyanogen Email. App Themer will give you access to various themes. Cyanogen OS powered by Boxer provides benefits like multiple account integration, exchange support, canned responses for quick replies, different LED notifications and more. The Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update adds keyboard support to 5 new Indian languages namely Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Malayalam and Marathi.

In a forum post, Rahul Sharma, YU CEO and co-founder says “Yes, the wait is over and after a long toil for perfection, the team will roll it out in phases over the next 3 days. With a whole new world of features that include highly customized extra theming options, CyanogenMail, Exchange support, multiple account integration and so much more beyond the existing goodness of Android Lollipop, L is sweeter than you thought”.

YU Yureka will be getting the Cyanogen OS 12 based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update via OTA (over-the-air) and will arrive in phases over the “next three days”.
YU will also be launching its second smartphone dubbed as YU Yuphoria. The device will features a 64-bit processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable with SD card) and runs on Cyanogen OS 12 Android Lollipop out of the box.
