YU, the sister company of Micromax launched new Android smartphone dubbed as “YU Yuphoria.”. The device is the successor of Yureka, a smartphone with excellent features launched in India for Rs. 8,999. YU Yureka was not appreciated because for a few issues like heating and battery backup. YU Yuphoria has a price of Rs. 6,999 and has been unveiled at an event being held in New Delhi. It is the second smartphone launched by YU and will be available exclusively on Amazon through flash sale like the YU Yureka android device. The first flash sale of YU Yuphoria is being scheduled for May 28 for which registration already begins. Let’s have s look at the quality specs of Yuphoria Android device.
One thing about the device already known before the launch is smartphone runs on Cyanogen OS 12 based on Android Lollipop. The Cyanogen OS 12 comes with themes, custom gestures and controls, and provides feature to switch between hardware and software navigation keys. Like YU Yureka and OnePlus adding App themer and Email app powered by Boxer after the Cyanogen OS 12 update, the Yuphoria also comes with the same applications.
Coming to screen display, it features a 5-inch HD TFT IPS display and sports third-generation Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. The screen to ratio on the Yuphoria is 67 percent says Sharma at the launch event. It is powered by Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor clocking at 1.2GHz and is coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. It includes 16GB of onboard memory which can be extended with microSD card.
With dual SIM features, it adds supports for 4G connectivity and features an 8 MP rear camera with an f/2.2 lens and LED Flash. There is also secondary camera of 5 MP with f/2.0 aperture for taking Selfies.
The YU Yuphoria adds sensors like G-sensor, L-sensor, P-sensor, 6-axis gyroscope and an E-compass. It has 8.3mm of thickness which includes 2230 mAh battery providing talktime of 7 hours. The material of the body is different compared to the plastic body of Yureka. This time YU has undergone several stages to come up with metal body which includes pre-bending, metal stamping, PVD, Laser welding, Polishing, etching and Sand blasting. Inspite of having metal body, the device weighs just 143 grams.

YU Yuphoria is launched as a competitor to Xioami Redmi 2, Lenovo A6000 Plus and Motorola Moto E (2 Gen) 3G which also comes with similar pricing and specifications.
