Xiaomi launched Mi 4i 16GB variant back in April this year and now it’s all ready to introduce 32GB variant for the Indian market. The Mi 4i 16GB was launched for Rs. 12,999, so the 32GB variant may cost around 14K to 15K. Though the company has not yet revealed the pricing, it’s just a guess from our side.
The launch news has been made official by Xiaomi putting the above image to its Facebook fan page. It shows a message “16” made with matchsticks and also includes text “Move 4 to double” which gives a clear idea of company announcing the 32GB variant.
The current 16GB variant gives only 13GB user memory and doesn’t support microSD card. But the 32GB variant has much more space to store media content, files and documents without worrying about the storage. Hugo Barra’s, Xiaomi Vice President also defended Mi 4i having only 16GB storage without microSD card. He is totally against microSD cards which not only reduces the device performance but also sometimes results in malfunction. So, the company is bringing the 32GB variant instead of adding a microSD card.
To remind you, the Xiaomi Mi 4i runs on MIUI 6 based on Lollipop OS and features a 5-inch FHD display, powered by 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front facing camera and 3120mAh battery.
