Pre-Requisites:
- Take backup of all imported data before starting the procedure.
- Make sure your device is charged to at least 75% or more.
- USB Debugging Mode should be enabled on your smartphone.
- Unlock Bootloader on your device from here.
- Make sure to Install USB drivers suitable for your PC.
- Setup ADB and Fastboot drivers on PC.
- Device should have root access.

How to update Xperia Z Ultra to Android 4.4.4 Kitkat using CM 11 ROM:
#1: Download the CM 11 ROM package and Google Apps Package from here to your PC.
#2: Transfer both the packages to the root of your device’s SD card. Make sure to copy at the root of your SD card not inside any folder.
#3: Now switch off your Xperia Z Ultra.
#4: Enter into Recovery Mode. To do so, press the power button, now while your device boots up and you see the Sony Logo, press the Volume Up button to enter into Recovery Mode.
#5: Once you are in Recovery Mode, perform operations to clear cache, dalvik cache and data.
#6: Now select “Install zip from SD card” and choose the ROM package, which you have copied earlier and install it.
#7: Again follow the above step, but this time choose the Google Apps Package and Install it.
#8: Again repeat the same process of deleting data and clearing cache and dalvik cache.
#9: Now go back to main menu of recovery mode and select Reboot system now.
Once the device boots up, enjoy the features of Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS.
