Samsung on Saturday started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop OS update to Samsung Galaxy S5 users in Malaysia. This is the best New Year gift given by Samsung to its S5 users. The Galaxy S5 users update their device with the help of Samsung Kies 3 software. The OTA update has not yet received, so if you want to update Samsung Galaxy S5 connect it to PC and then use the Samsung Kies 3.
The Android 5.0 Lollipop update is about 3GB in size, so before start updating it make sure the device has free storage capacity available of 3GB. Also make sure the battery of your device is fully charged to avoid power-off during the update process. Also backup all your personal data present on the Galaxy S5.
According to Samsung, apps opened for the first time after the update may be sluggish “due to the initial optimization process required with the Android 5.0 OS.” Also some Android apps present on your device are to be updated via Google Play Store or Samsung Galaxy App Store in order to be optimized with the latest build of Android.
After the Samsung Galaxy S5 Android 5.0 Lollipop update, the system memory will decline up to 950MB.
