Samsung Galaxy Note 3 gets Android 4.4.2 Kitkat update in India – Details
Samsung has now officially started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 Kitkat update for its Samsung Galaxy Note 3 flagship in India. This update was earlier rolled out in Poland for the Snapdragon variant of Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The update comes with a build number N9005XXUENA6 and the firmware build is dated Thu, 14 January 2014 13:52:24.
The official change log doesn’t reveal any new features. The update brings minor UI changes and under the hood improvements. See the improvements listed below.
Fixes:
- Status bar icons now in KitKat white from Green.
- Lockscreen Camera shortcut.
- Full screen music album art in the lockscreen.
- Performance improvements and bug fixes.
The software update is rolled out in India for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 via OTA (Over the Air) and the update is about 361.04 MB. I personally request you to connect to Wi-Fi network to update your device as it will save your time and reduce your mobile data usage. The update would gradually roll out to other countries in the coming days, so please be patience and wait until your country gets this update. It is also rumoured that Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy S3 would get Android 4.4.2 Kitkat update by the end of March this year.
