Samsung recently announced the 2016 edition of the Galaxy A series devices- Galaxy A7, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3. Today a new leak has been surfaced regarding the upcoming Galaxy A9 (SM-A9000) smartphone. Few of its promo pictures has been leaked on Weibo. The device is expected to launch official later this month.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A9 will feature a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p screen resolution. On the hardware front, it packs with Snapdragon 620 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 620 includes an octa-core 1.8GHz processor with 4x Cortex A72 and 4x Cortex A53 cores. Adreno 510 GPU is responsible for the graphics of the handset.
Like the Galaxy A3, A5, and A7, the Galaxy A9 will also include a metal frame and dual 2.5D glass panels. It sports a 13-megapixels rear camera with optical image stabilization and bright f/1.9 aperture. There will be an 8MP camera on the front.
The other specifications includes 32GB ROM, LTE CAT.7 connectivity, and a massive 4,000mAh battery which might acts as power bank for other devices. The Galaxy A9 is expected to launch running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS with a confirmed Marshmallow update in a few days.
Samsung Pay and Fingerprint scanner are the other features included in the handset.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 is expected to launch before Christmas and will be priced around US$460.
