Samsung, the Korean manufacturing company has officially launched “Galaxy A8” Slimmest Android smartphone in China. Earlier Samsung unveiled Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 in the all new ‘A’ series. All these smartphones got a good response all over the globe due to its quality specifications and features.
Measuring just 5.9mm, it is Samsung’s slimmest smartphone ever launched. The Galaxy A8 comes with a 5.7-inch FHD Super AMOLED display with screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Like all the other ‘A’ series smartphones, this device also comes with ultra-narrow bezels and has full metal uni-body design. As expected the handset sports a fingerprint sensor on the home button.
Under the hood, it has Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core (1.5GHz Quad A53 + 1.0 GHz Quad A53) processor with Adreno 405 GPU and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. Besides 16/32GB of internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy A8 supports expandability via microSD card (up to 64GB).
4G LTE/ 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ GLONASS are the various connectivity options available with the device. There is 16MP rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP front facing with 120-degree wide-angle lens. Considering the number of SIM (Single or Dual), it will be dependable on the market.
Like all the latest smartphones, the Galaxy A8 also comes with 2GB RAM for better multi-tasking feature. Measuring 158 x 76.8 x 5.9mm, the Galaxy A8 weighs just 151 grams and is backed by a 3050mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 comes in Black, Gold and White colors options. There are no details relating to global launch and pricing of the handset.
