OnePlus is always known for pushing quick Android updates to its Android devices. But it was quite for a long time considering the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Today, the company has officially announced its Android 6.0 Marshmallow plans for its smartphones.
OnePlus One and OnePlus Two users are the first to taste the all new Android Marshmallow firmware. The update is scheduled to hit the devices in the Q1 2016. The company has not announced any specified dates but the update might roll out somewhere between the months January and March. As OnePlus One doesn’t runs on Oxygen OS out of the box, the company says that it wil work on the community build when time permits. The company will add standard Marshmallow fingerprint sensor API in the latest Android 6.0 update.
OnePlus also confirmed that it is currently working on Marshmallow update for its latest mid-ranger, OnePlus X. It doesn’t revealed any time frame but according to the source, the update will be only available once the OnePlus One and OnePlus Two updated first.
