OnePlus just announced the most awaiting flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 2 at world’s first virtual reality launch event. It is OnePlus next generation smartphone featuring 4GB RAM and a fingerprint scanner which were already revealed by the company. The metal-design of the smartphone gives entirely a premium look.
Specs-wise, it sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD In-Cell display and is powered by a 64-bit Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor v2.1 with Adreno 430 GPU. The smartphone runs on Oxygen OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and has dual SIM supporting 4G LTE on both.
The OnePlus 2 features a 13MP rear camera with dual LED Flash, Laser Auto focus, OIS, 1.3um pixels, f/2.0 aperture, 4K video recording, slow-motion at 120fps and a 5MP front facing camera for Selfies. The handset comes in two variants- 3GB DDR4 RAM variant with 16GB inbuilt memory and 4GB DDR4 RAM variant with 64GB of internal storage.
It comes with a fingerprint scanner featured into the home screen and comes with customizable capacitive buttons. The handset has an alert slider, a hardware button helps in switching between No Notifications and Priority Notifications. It comes with removable back cover and is powered by 3300mAh battery. The connectivity includes 4G LTE, USB Type-C, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.
The OnePlus 2 is priced at $329 for a 16GB variant and $389 for a 64GB variant, which is much affordable for specifications and features it carries. It comes in sandstone black color and will be available in US, UK, EU, India and China starting from August 11th. The company will be introducing 9 pop-up stores across popular cities all over the world which also includes New Delhi and Bangalore cities of India.
