LG after launching flip phone in South Korea has now officially launched the same for the international markets. The phone which was launched as “LG Gentle” in South Korea has been rebranded as “LG Wine Smart” for the International market. Let’s have a look at the specifications overview of LG Wine Smart flip phone.
It has a 3.2-inch HVGA (480 x 320p) display and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based on LG UI on top. Along with touch screen display, it has a numeric keypad with four hotkeys. Under the hood, it has a Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocking at 1.1GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM.
As the flip phone packs with high-end specs and latest connectivity, there is nothing wrong in calling it as a smartphone. On the storage front, it has 4GB of inbuilt memory with a microSD card slot for memory expansion. On the back it has a 1,700 mAh battery and includes a 3MP rear camera accompanied with VGA front facing camera.
The LG Wine Smart has dimensions of 117.7 x 58.7 x 16.6mm and weighs 143 grams and includes connectivity features like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, microUSB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.1. LG has not yet announced the pricing of the handset, but it is expected to cost under $200. It will be first rolling out to UK, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Japan and Kazakhstan starting from current month.
“Our goal with LG Wine Smart was to create a smartphone that fans of flip phones could embrace. Consumers shouldn’t have to miss out on the smartphone revolution because they prefer a particular phone design over another”, stated Chris Yie, vice president, LG Mobile.
