The LG G3, company latest flagship has started receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop update in India. Naturally, G3 is the first Android flagship to get Lollipop update in India. Earlier this month company rolled out firmware update to Korean customers and then followed by other countries- Austria, the Baltics, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain and the UK.
The update is available only for the unlocked devices first in India and then slowly the company will rolls out to other carrier devices. So finally India has been added to the list of markets where Android 5.0 Lollipop update is being received.
So all the unlocked LG G3 users now can update their device to latest Operating System. The firmware update is about 1100MB in size and can only be updated through the LG Mobile Support Tool. It is expected that Android 5.0 Lollipop Over-the-air update would be receiving soon in the next upcoming weeks.
The Android 5.0 Lollipop update makes the device more special and adds improvements to the LG G3. It includes new UI design language, new security features and new brand Android ART runtime.
