Lenovo on Thursday started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update to Lenovo Vibe X2 in India. The device was launched back in November last year running on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Company already confirmed that Vibe X2 will get Lollipop treatment in Q2 of 2015 as early as before June 10, and now the Lollipop update is live for the smartphone.
The Lollipop 5.0 update is available via OTA (over-the-air) and is about 1.11GB in size. As the firmware update size is extremely big, it is advisable to use high speed internet or WiFi to upgrade your Vibe X2 smartphone. The update process is free from data loss, though company ask to perform backup process of all important data to restore if any data loss occurs.
The official changelog of update doesn’t available but we can expect boost in performance, improved notifications, smart lock, UI tweaks and more. Vibe X2 is the fifth Lenovo device to get Lollipop update, earlier Vibe Z2 Pro, Vibe Z2, S90-A, S60-A got the treatment.
