Google earlier launch three Android One smartphones in India, the Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V and Spice Dream UNO. Now the company is all set to launch another Android One smartphone in India manufactured by Lava Mobiles. Google will unveil the handset on July 14 for Rs. 12,000.
Considering the design of the handset, we can expect a good design when compared to earlier Android One smartphones where the Indian vendors has no control over the design and development. Everything related to hardware and software would be under the control of Lava mobiles and chipmaker MediaTek. The latest Android One smartphone comes with improved specifications and apps co-developed by Google and Lava.
According to the report, Lava Android One smartphone comes with a 5-inch display and is powered by a MediaTek chip coupled with 2GB RAM. So this is great improvement in the specifications when compared to first set of Android one phone with 4.5-inch display and 1GB RAM.
All the first set of Android One smartphones are updated to Lollipop 5.1.1 OS, so the latest phone also runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. There are no details related to storage and camera features of the device. We will update once the handset is officially launched in India.
