Intex Mobiles launched new entry-level Android smartphone in India dubbed as “Aqua Sense 5.0”. The name itself suggest a 5-inch display and is priced at Rs. 4,690. The handset comes in Champagne, Black, and White variants. It has support for 22 regional languages, and comes pre-loaded with various Android applications namely Newshut, Quikr, Myntra, and Opera Mini.

Coming to the specifications, it has a 5-inch IPS display bearing a screen resolution of 960 x 540 pixels and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. It comes with dual SIM (3G + 2G) support and powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum (SC7731) processor coupled with 512MB of RAM.
There is a 5-megapixels rear facing camera which includes features like LED Flash, scene detection, face recognition, Panorama, geo-tagging, Best shot, Smile shot, and HDR options. It also includes a 0.3-megapixels front facing camera for video calls and other Selfies.
It has connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB and Bluetooth. On the back, there is a 2000mAh battery which will deliver 10 hours of talk time and up to 230 hours of standby time according to the company. The Intex Aqua Sense 5.0 measures 145.5 x 7.3 x 8.9 mm and weighs 160 grams. Company also claims that the smartphone is capable of receiving further updates via OTA (over-the-air).
Earlier Intex launched the Cloud Pace with 4.5-inch qHD display, quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of flash memory exclusively on Shopclues for Rs. 6,999.
