Pre-Requisites:
- Make sure your device is Galaxy Note 3 with Model no N9005.
- Backup your important data to a safe location.
- Make sure battery percentage on your device is at least 80% before you proceed.
- Enable USB Debugging on your device from Developer Options.
- Install suitable USB Drivers on PC.
- Kill or terminate Samsung Kies on your PC.

How to install Android 5.0 Lollipop on Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005:
- Download the required files from the above links to your PC.
- Extract the firmware file to a folder.
- Extract the Odin file and run Odin as administrator.
- If you have 16GB variant then, make sure Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time are checked and everything else is unchecked and load the firmware files except PIT file as shown below.
- If you have 32GB variant, then follow the below steps carefully.
- Backup the PIT file before flashing the firmware just to be on safe side. To do so execute the following ADB commands:
adb shell su –c “dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/My-N9005.pit bs=1 skip=17408 count=4244″
adb pull /sdcard/My-N9005.pit - Make sure Auto Reboot, Re-Partition and F.Reset Time are checked and remaining all are un-checked.
- Now load the firmware files and also the PIT file which you got after extracting the firmware files.
- Backup the PIT file before flashing the firmware just to be on safe side. To do so execute the following ADB commands:
- Power off Galaxy Note 3 and boot into Download Mode, to do so press hold Volume Down + Home + Power buttons at the same time, until you see some warning message on screen. Now press Power button to enter into Download Mode.
- Connect your device to PC using OEM data cable.
- Now Odin will display the ID:COM port and a message appears as Added!!.
- Now hit the Start button to begin the flashing process.
- Once the process is done you will see message as PASS!! and your device will reboot automatically.
- Once the device boots up, you can enjoy Android 5.0 Lollipop on Galaxy Note 3.
