Doogee, the Chinese smartphone vendor will upgrade its 100$ budget smartphone, the Doogee X6 Pro to Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The device was announced running on Android 5.1.1 out of the box.
The Doogee adds that the upgrade brings many new features to device including new navigation, a search bar at the top of every screen, better memory management, and increase battery backup with the help of Doze function.
It’s still unclear when the update will hit the Doogee X6 Pro, but it is expected to be rolled out via OTA which is too easy to install. Doogee might also upgrade its cheapest devices, the Y200 and Y300 to Marshmallow 6.0 OS.
The X6 Pro features a 5.5-inch HD capacitive touch screen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and has dual SIM card support. The other specs includes MediaTek SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory (expandable with microSD), 8-megapixels rear camera, 5-megapixels front camera and 3000mAh battery.
