LG has announced the LG G Flex 2 at CES 2015 – Check out Specs, Features, Price and availability
LG has unveiled the LG G Flex 2 at Consumer Electronics Show i.e., CES 2015 in Las Vegas at press conference. It comes with the combination if G3’s practical design and LG G Flex’s curves.
It is the first Android smartphone to be powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with octa-core CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz. LG G Flex 2 is the successor of the LG G Flex and just like its predecessor italso has the capacity to selfheal at the back panel.
It sports a 5.5 inch curved display, which is smaller than its predecessor which came out with a 6 inch HD display. But in terms of the resolution LG G Flex 2 wins the game with its predecessor, as it comes with 1080p resolution. The device has a layer of Gorilla Glass 3, which protects the display from scratches and minor sniffs.
It measures 149.1 x 75.3 x 7.1 – 9.44mm at the thinnest and thickest spots respectively. LG stated that LG G Flex 2 has 20% more tougher display than what LG G Flex had and improvement in the self-healing speed of the back panel.
LG G Flex 2 packs a 2GB RAM and 13 MP rear shooter with dual LED and OIS+ optical stabilization. It also has 2.1 MP front facing selfie camera. LG G Flex 2 comes in two internal memory options – 16GB and 32GB and both has expansion slots. In terms of connectivity it supports 4G LTE, HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, SlimPort, A-GPS, GLONASS and USB 2.0.It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and brings 3 new gesture controls – Gesture shot, Gesture View and Glance View. A 3,000 mAh battery packs into the device and comes with fast charge support and the company claims it can charge to 50% in 40 minutes.
LG G Flex 2 will be available in Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red colors and will first go on sale in South Korea by the end of January and will soon follow the global launch. The price of it is yet to be confirmed.
