Asus mobiles on Thursday confirmed that it will be rolling Android 5.0 Lollipop update to its Zenfone series starting from May 2015. The Asus Zenfone 5 LTE with A500KL model will be the first Zenfone device to receive the Android Lollipop update.The Zenfone 4 (A400CG/A450CG), Zenfone 5 (A500CG) and the Zenfone 6 (A600CG) are the other devices will gets the Lollipop update in the mid-May. While the Asus Zenfone S (PF500KL) is scheduled to receive the latest update in the early June.
All the above Zenfone devices received Android 4.4 KitKat update in early October last year. And again the company is all set to give Lollipop taste to this Smartphone users. In addition, Asus launched Zenfone 2 smartphone which runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box.
As we know Android 5.0 Lollipop brings some interesting features like better Material design, battery saver features, better notifications, and options for quick settings, faster, smoother and more powerful experience with ART and more.
As there is not much change in the Lollipop Zen UI, user may not find much difference in the update. But this doesn’t mean that you will not get the Lollipop features. It adds Multi user support which lets you create separate users/profiles, screen pinning, Zen-motion, etc.
