Micromax Mobiles partnership with Google launched its first Android One Smartphone dubbed as Canvas A1. The Smartphone was teased at Google I/O back in June. The device is priced at Rs. 6,499 and will be exclusively available on Amazon.in. In addition, Karbonn and Spice also launched its first Android One Smartphone in India dubbed as Sparkle V and Dream UNO respectively. Both the devices have similar specs and features.

The Micromax Canvas A1 comes with 4.5-inch display with 854 x 480 pixels screen resolutions and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS. It is powered with 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor coupled with Mali-400 GPU and 1GB RAM. There is 1700 mAh battery on the back to power the Smartphone.

The Micromax Canvas A1 has 5 MP of rear camera with LED Flash and a 2 MP secondary camera for video calling. It has thickness of 9.15mm and includes connectivity options like 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. There is 4GB inbuilt memory which can be further expandable with microSD card.
