Lava Iris X5 4G: 2nd Gen Android One Smartphone?

It’s almost a week after the reports claims that Google will soon launch a Lava-manufactured Android One smartphone in India. Today Iris X5 4G smartphone has been surfaced in GFX Benchmark database. This could be the Android One smartphone which the giant search is going to launch along with Lava Mobiles. The launch date was scheduled for today, however it sees it has been postponed.

According to the listing, the handset features a 4.6-inch 1280 x 720 pixels display and is powered with 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC and a Mali-T720 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 out of the box and has 2GB RAM along with 16GB ROM.

On the cameras front, there is 12-megapixels rear shooter and a 7-megapixels secondary shooter. There are no details available on the field of battery.

The specifications and features are quite similar to that of earlier rumoured features. So, Lava Iris X5 4G could be the 2nd Gen Android One Smartphone to be launched in India. However, the official announcement is expected to happen tomorrow. So stay tuned for latest news and updates.
