HTC Evo 4G LTE will get Android 4.3 Firmware Update in Mid-Feb 2014

Finally an Firmware update details of HTC Evo 4G LTE to Android 4.3 is notified. HTC is planning to update the Sprint-branded HTC Evo 4G LTE to Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS in mid of February. The device is still running on Android 4.1 after it was scheduled to get this update back in October 2013.

There was a tweet regarding the update of the device by one of the owner of HTC Evo 4G and in response to the tweet HTC’s Jason Mackenzie confirmed that it would enter testing at Sprint in the middle of January and the update will then soon roll out some where in the mid February. The exact reasons for late in the update are not clearly specified but he mentions that there was an unspecified issue that came up resulting in the delay in Android 4.2 update in HTC Evo 4G LTE.

This will be the final update of the device as it will reach its EOL (End of Life) after this. So this is good news for all the HTC Evo 4G LTE users that they will be updating their Smartphone to Android 4.3 OS. There are many devices which are to be follow after this device update in the early stage of the 2014 year.

The update of the device is expected to be Over the Air (OTA) and can be easily updated by going to the mobile settings.
