AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 LTE gets Android 5.1 Lollipop OTA firmware update

AT&T started rolling Android 5.1 Lollipop firmware update to Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. The update is via OTA (over-the-air) and is about 926MB in size. So, those Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 LTE users who are really waiting to experience the Android 5.1 OS, can now have hands-on after updating the device. The firmware update brings the build LMY47X.T537AUCU1BOG5.

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 LTE has a 10.1” TFT display with 1280 x 800 resolutions and includes 16GB internal storage which can be extended up to 64GB. There is a 3MP rear camera and 1.3MP front camera and has a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM.

Android 5.1 Lollipop update changelog:

Android 5.1 Operating System update which includes Lollipop 5.0 and the additional enhancements:

  • Quick Settings updated for enhanced Wi-Fi and Bluetooth management
  • Additional animations to the 5.0 update
  • Improved notifications, screen pinning, alarm
  • Updated security software and improved memory management.

Following preloaded applications are removed:

  • WatchON, Beats Music, Famigo

After updating the device, the users can easily manage the notifications and toggle the settings easily. The update also removes pre-installed applications like watchON, Beats Music and Famigo.
