Android 4.4.2 Kitkat update Rolling out to Nexus

Nexus device owners are always lucky because they are first to get updated with the latest software updates as available. It has been a few days since Google started to push android 4.4.1 update to Nexus devices, and now again Google is planning to roll out another update for nexus devices.

This update changes your android version from 4.4.1 to Android 4.4.2. It is said that this update fixes some issues on Nexus devices. If you are not able to update your device manually, then go with manual method.

Although Google has not yet released the official changelog, Sprint’s Nexus 5 has been confirmed to receive the Android 4.2.2 Kitkat update. Here are some fixes included in this update:

  • Fix for clearing the VM Indicator
  • Fix for delivery of the VM Indicator
  • Various additional software fixes
  • Security enhancements

So if you own any of Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 or Nexus 10 mobiles or tablets, then you can update your device with two methods official and manual method. If you are unable to update your device using official method then use the manual method, whose links are provided at the end of this post.

Official Process to update your Nexus Device:

If you have Nexus device, then go to Settings > About Phone and hit Check for Software Update, that’s it now let it download and install update. After installation is complete enjoy the update.
